Established in 1881, Bruichladdich Distillery has undergone multiple changes in ownership over the years. Currently owned by the French spirit group Rémy Cointreau, Bruichladdich maintains a unique approach to whisky production. They proudly distil, mature, and bottle their whisky on-site, utilizing barley sourced from the surrounding farms. Since their revival in 2001, they have garnered admiration for offering a range of whiskies bottled without added colour or chill filtration and at a strength of 46% ABV and higher. This is the fourth edition of their esteemed Black Art series. Master Distiller Jim McEwan oversees the creation of this intriguing whisky, and while its composition remains a closely guarded secret, we do know that it undergoes aging in a combination of American and French oak casks.
