The 2022 Brouilly Vieilles Vignes has a slightly funky nose, but you can`t help falling for its charms. A bit volatile? Maybe, yet there`s lovely rambunctious fruit here. The palate has strong spicy element on the entry, with curry leaf infusing the red fruit and just a bit of VA again on the finish. Funkier than George Clinton. - Neil Martin
Domaine Jean-Claude Lapalu Brouilly Vieilles Vignes 2022 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Gamay grapes in the Brouilly appellation of Beaujolais. Jean-Claude Lapalu established his eponymous domaine in 1996 and since then has become one of the most-respected minimal-intervention winemakers in Beaujolais. He cultivates organically 12 hectares of mostly old vines (60-80 years). This 2022 Brouilly offers fine, elegant, floral Gamay character with hints of violet and white pepper.
