Domaine de la Grand Cour is a family owned and operated business with 11.5 hectares of vines in the Beaujolais crus of Fleurie and Brouilly and is one of the leading lights of natural winemaking in the region. Their organically certified wines are produced incredibly traditionally with low temperature indigenous yeast fermentations, élevage in foudres or barrels, minimal sulphur usage and bottling without fining or filtration.
2018 was an exceptional vintage and this is a superb release of Brouilly Vieilles Vignes which is from a lieu-dit planted over 60 years ago called “Vuril”. It is incredibly vibrant in aroma, with lush notes of cherries, wild berries, citrus peel and spice, leading to a medium-bodied palate with youthfully firm but svelte tannins and a wonderfully elegant finish.
