The ILR Reserve Semillon is one of two flagship wines produced by Brokenwood and has become a benchmark for the Hunter Valley’s speciality grape variety. Only produced in specific vintages, it is vinified and matured exclusively in stainless steel, with a minimum of 6 years before it is released to market.

Hunter Valley Semillon is renowned for its remarkable capacity to age and it gains wonderful texture and complexity the longer it is cellared. The 2006 should now be in the heart of its drinking window, offering vibrant griddled citrus and lemongrass notes, with subtly mature nuances of toast, lanolin and honey.
