Broadbent Terrantez 1978

Broadbent Selections was established in 1996 by world-renowned Madeira expert, Michael Broadbent and his son, Bartholomew. Made from the ultra-rare Terrantez variety, this Colheita Madeira was harvested in 1978, aged in oak casks in the traditional ‘canteiro’ system and bottled in February 2011. This is a deeply complex Madeira with incredibly evocative notes of dates, fig, orange marmalade, cloves, mocha, dried heather honey and grilled walnuts. Rich yet superbly well balanced by incisive natural acidity, it is powerful, precise and exceptionally long.
