Domaine Albert Boxler is a small, family-run estate situated north-west of the village of Turckheim in Alsace. With holdings in two of the region’s finest Grand Cru vineyards, Sommerberg and Brand, winemaker Jean Boxler is widely celebrated for his extremely terroir driven expressions of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc.
From the superb 2018 vintage, this is a lovely Pinot Gris that perfectly conveys the power and intensity of the Brand Grand Cru. It is rich yet refined with an incredibly long finish, suggesting that although it is ideal for drinking now, it could actually be even better with a few more years in the cellar.
