A 42 year old Bowmore aged for a near half century in Oloroso Sherry casks. Nearly ebony in colour, this is a fruit bomb Bowmore with exotic notes of ginger and wild spices on the nose. The palate brings ripe mango, butterscotch, gently bitter dark chocolate all bound together by a brooding peat smoke note. The finish is long and evolving, mouth-coating and complex.
