Founded in 1779, Bowmore stands as Islay`s oldest operational distillery and has garnered widespread acclaim, establishing itself as one of Scotland`s most beloved malts. Remarkably, Bowmore distinguishes itself by maintaining its own floor maltings, meeting 40% of its malt requirements. This particular expression is a 25-year-old Bowmore distilled in 1990 and matured in a single bourbon cask. It was bottled in 2015 by the Rest and Be Thankful Whisky Co.
