Bourgogne Pinot Noir Joseph Voillot 2018

Domaine Joseph Voillot is a venerable fifth-generation estate with excellent holdings in some of the top vineyards of Pommard and Volnay. Run by Jean Pierre Charlot since Joseph’s retirement in 1995, the domaine is known for graceful, terroir-driven wines made with moderate alcohol levels and prudent use of oak. The 2018 Bourgogne Pinot is a delightful wine produced with parcels of old vines vineyards below Volnay Village AC but also with a small percentage of Beaune Premier Cru. It is an attractive, medium-bodied release with good concentration of fruit, delicate savoury complexity, supple tannins and excellent freshness.
