Bourgogne Gamay Maison Leroy 2019
The wines of Lalou Bize-Leroy often require little introduction as they have, for many years now, been widely regarded as some of the greatest produced in Burgundy. However, this is a new release from the négociant arm of Maison Leroy. The Bourgogne Gamay AOC was only introduced in 2011 and stipulates that wines must be made from a minimum of 30% Gamay and may be sourced from 9 of the 10 Beaujolais Crus. 2019 in Beaujolais was hot and dry, producing wines of excellent ripeness and concentration, yet seamless balance and freshness.
