Aligoté accounts for only 6% of all vines in Burgundy but has a long history in the region as one of the two local white varietals along with Chardonnay. On the nose, this single varietal from Château de Chamilly is a little reserved at first but gradually reveals ripe apples, pears and melon. The palate is light-bodied and marked by lemon and apple fruit. It finishes long and on an earthy note.
