Bourgogne Aligote Champ Forey Jean Fournier 2017

Jean Fournier acquired this estate back in 1960, at a time when Marsannay`s wine reputation was still in its infancy. The domaine is currently led by Jean`s son, Laurent Fournier. Created in 2004, this cuvée partially contributed to the revival and recognition of Aligoté, known as the ‘Aligoteurs’ movement. By tending to old Aligoté vines, known as ‘dorés’ and drastically reducing yields while emphasizing terroir expression, Laurent crafts wines that possess both mineral and floral characteristics, designed for gastronomy and capable of ageing gracefully.
