Domaine d`Auvenay is a small but highly regarded estate situated in Saint-Romain. The domaine is owned by one of the most influential women in the French wine industry, Lalou Bize-Leroy, who also manages Maison Leroy and Domaine Leroy. The estate comprises only 4 hectares of vines, but these holdings include plots in grand cru sites such as Mazis-Chambertin, Bâtard-Montrachet and Bonnes-Mares, where this release comes from. The 2005 vintage delivered on all fronts. ripe fruit, fresh acidity, well-integrated tannins and great balance.
