Bodegas Itsasmendi Txakoli No 7 2017

Located on Spain’s northern coastline, Bodegas Itsasmendi was founded in 1994 by a group of winemakers who wished to create a modern and characterful interpretation of the traditional local white wine, Txakoli. No.7 is a wine first conceived in 2003 and is a blend of 90% Hondarabbi Zuri and 10% Riesling aged on lees for 9 months. Bright and vibrant on the nose it has scents of white fruits, grapefruit, wild herbs and chamomile. Broad and unctuous on the palate it is zesty and refreshing with notes of citrus, herbs and stoney minerality. Serve alongside scallops in a lemon-butter sauce.
