Blandy`s Verdelho 1973
The Blandy family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine and continues to maintain a tradition of fine wine production that dates back two centuries. This is a rare release of single-harvest Madeira produced in 1973 from 100% Verdelho and bottled in 2014 with 80g/L residual sugar having matured for 41 years in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. Mellow, rich and intense, it exudes incredibly complex notes of dried fruits, orange zest, noble woods and spices, with a remarkably long, medium-dry finish. 985 bottles released.
