Blandy`s Bual 1964
The Blandy family has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine and continues to maintain a tradition of fine wine production that dates back two centuries. This is a rare release of single-harvest Madeira produced in 1964 from 100% Bual and bottled in 2004 having aged for 40 years in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system. Clear, golden brown in colour with slightly green hue, it exudes remarkably intense and complex notes of dried fruits, citrus marmalade, roasted coffee beans, woody spices and dark chocolate. Full-bodied and medium sweet, it would pair brilliantly with richly flavoured blue cheeses.
