Blandy`s 10YO Malmsey 50cl

Throughout its remarkably long history on the island, the Blandy family winery has played a leading role in the development of Madeira wine and continues to maintain a tradition of fine wine production that dates back two centuries. This is a delicious and complex non-vintage sweet wine made from 100% Malmsey (Malvasia) aged in seasoned American oak casks in the traditional ‘Canteiro’ system for an average of 10 years. A superb accompaniment to fruit deserts and rich chocolate puddings, it has wonderful notes of marmalade, fig, burnt sugar, cloves and smoked nuts. Though viscous and rich, it is superbly balanced by pinpoint acidity and a pleasant saline tang on the wonderfully long finish.
