Established in 1859, Louis Jadot is a leading wine producer in Burgundy, making over 220 different wines throughout Chablis, the Côte d’Or, Côte Chalonnaise, Maconnais and Beaujolais. The maison is currently managed by Pierre-Henri Gagey, assisted by head winemaker Frédéric Barnier. This release is the 2019 vintage from ‘Clos des Ursules’, presented here in a half-bottle. This was the very first vineyard bought by Louis Henry Denis Jadot in 1826 and a family ‘Monopole’ ever since. The wine is made from destemmed grapes fermented in vats during 3 to 4 weeks, followed by an 18-month aging period in oak barrels.
