Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999 when Jean-Claude Boisset consolidated all the vineyard holdings accrued from his various négociant companies, consisting nearly 40 hectares of vines across 30 different appellations and including six grand crus. The 2015 is a superb release with abundant aromas of citrus, stone fruits, toasted nuts and stoney minerality. Full-bodied and glossy on the palate, there is understated power here but always wonderful elegance and seamless balance.
