Domaine Henri Boillot under the direction of Henri and his son, Guillaume, has come to be known as one of the premier producers in Burgundy. With an impressive portfolio of Domaine and négociant bottlings that incorporates both red and white wines, there is something on offer at all levels from generic Bourgogne right up to the most prestigious Grands Crus.
The 2018 Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru is a fine follow-up to the magnificent 2017. It is classically broad-shouldered and voluminous, with massive concentration of fruit yet an impressive restraint which is not necessarily a trait shared by other wines from this vintage. This has all the credentials to evolve beautifully over the next decade or three.
