Lying just to the west of neighbouring Château Latour, Batailley owns a 57-hectare estate planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot. The 2018 vintage is beautifully scented and rather seductive, filled with aromas of sweet cherries, crushed rocks, cloves and cinnamon. It`s a sleek and structured wine, with layers of pure fruit on the palate. The tannins are ripe and quite approachable, with a lively lift to the finish.
