Armagnac, France
Baron de Sigognac is a longstanding independent producer and holds the distinction of being one of the oldest houses in Armagnac. It is owned by the Guasch family, who oversee 42 hectares of exceptional Bas-Armagnac terroir. This vintage Armagnac was distilled in 1949, the same year that George Orwell`s dystopian novel ‘1984’ was published, leaving an enduring impact on literature and the exploration of totalitarianism and surveillance.
