Located in the heart of the Langhe hills, at the top of the village of Castiglione Falletto, Vietti was founded in the late 1800s by Carlo Vietti. The 2012 is 100% Nebbiolo sourced from the single vineyard site of Ravera which spans 2.7ha. Aged for 32 months in large traditional oak barrels and bottled without filtration.
Antonio Galloni describes the 2012 vintage as follows, `In 2012 the Barolo Ravera is once again a star. Finely chiselled cut through and through. From 2012 it boasts remarkable precision and nuance. Rose petal, chalk, white pepper, blueberry and pomegranate burst with great brilliance, exceptionally glossy Barolo built on pure, elegance.`
