The Marchesi di Barolo historical cellars are located in the heart of the Langhe region, in the town of Barolo. It is here that more than 200 years ago their story began, with the winery now in the hands of the fifth generation of the Abbona family. Barolo is famous for its longevity and the finest examples can drink wonderfully even after decades of bottle age. The 1976 vintage was generally considered as “classic”, producing wines of delicacy, harmony and elegance.
