Bartolo Mascarello`s 2013 Barolo is made with the estate`s traditional blend of four estate vineyards in Cannubi, Rué, San Lorenzo and Rocche dell’Annunziata. This is a classic interpretation of Nebbiolo with an absolutely pristine flavour profile. The nose reveals notes of violets, cassis, liquorice and wild sage, whereas the palate delivers cherries, cranberries, star anise and spices. The wine is perfectly well-balanced, with silky tannins and bright acidity that lend compelling tension.
