Muncagota is a single-vineyard facing the cooler morning sunshine instead of the warmer afternoon sun. For that reason, their wines show beautiful floral characteristics and often some mint on the nose. First produced by Produttori del Barbaresco as Moccagatta in 1967, the 2016 vintage is intense but elegant, with a refined floral bouquet and firm tannic finish. Arguably it still needs some time in the cellar.
