Barbaresco Asili from Giacosa is unquestionably one of the most highly sought-after wines produced in Italy. Sheltered and warm, the 14ha Asili vineyard sites at around 200-280m elevation in the Commune of Barbaresco and produces incredibly complex wines of remarkable perfume and elegance. Though hit by a brutal hailstorm in early April, 2017 mostly turned out to be a highly successful vintage, with Giacosa`s portfolio generally considered particularly noteworthy.
