Barbaresco Albesani Vigno Santo Stefano Giacosa 2011

Bruno Giacosa is one of Italy’s legendary winemakers who crafted some of the most prestigious single-vineyard Barolo and Barbaresco wines during his lifetime. This 2011 Barbaresco Albesani Vigna Santo Stefano had ample time to flesh out over the last years of bottle aging. The wine opens to sun-dried strawberries and raspberries. It shows a reasonably good level of freshness and acidity. The tannin structure delivers a smooth, silky quality and the wine also displays pleasant aromas of wet earth and black truffle.
