A.A. Badenhorst is a relatively new wine producer, owned by cousins Hein and Adi Badenhorst. Based in the Swartland region of South Africa, the family-owned estate covers approximately 28 hectares of mostly old bush vines. This 100% Palomino comes from the West Coast of South Africa, where the old vines go deep into the limestone bedrock. The wine is surprisingly aromatic for Palomino, suggesting crisp notes of orchard fruit. The palate is bone-dry and slightly salty.
