The Georgian Askaneli winery was founded in 1998 by the Chkhaidze brothers. The name “Askaneli” is associated with the small, magical village of Askana, where the old cellar, built by the family`s ancestor, Antimoz Chkhaidze, still stands. This is an unusual, semi-sweet red Georgian wine made from a blend of Saperavi and Muscat grapes. On the nose, an elegant bouquet of black fruits together with pepper spice and floral nuances. Displaying harmonious balance between sweetness, acidity and soft tannins, concluding on a beautifully plush finish.
