Sagrantino is the native black grape of the Umbrian sub-region of Montefalco and Arnaldo Caprai is its master. The 2000 is Sagrantino dialled up to ‘11’. Massive aromas of sweet berry fruit, cola and tobacco with sumptuous tannins and a powerful finish. The capacity for these wines to age is brilliant.
