The Caprai winery began in 1971 when textiles entrepreneur, Arnaldo Caprai, purchased 12.5 acres of land in town of Montefalco in Umbria. Today, the winery is considered one of the leading producers of top-quality wines in the region.
First produced in 1989, Grecante is produced from 100% local variety Grechetto from the DOC of Colli Martani. It is vinified entirely in stainless steel, with a short maturation period in both tank and bottle. It has intense aromas of exotic fruits and yellow peaches, lifted by floral notes of freesia and hawthorn. Superb as an aperitif but is a versatile food match.
