Amrut is a well-established distillery renowned for pioneering the production of single malt whiskies in India. Established in 1947, just before India gained independence, the company is currently headquartered in Bangalore. Portonova is a non-peated single malt initially matured in a blend of new American oak and ex-bourbon barrels. Subsequently, it undergoes a phase in once-used port pipes before returning to ex-bourbon casks for final maturation.
