Almaviva Magnum 2017

150 cl
£356.00
Almaviva was founded in 1996 as a collaborative project between Baron Phillippe de Rothschild and Concha y Toro, with 40 hectares of prime Puente Alto vineyards being dedicated to the mission of creating Chile’s first Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé equivalent.

The 2017 release is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Carmenere, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot and 2% Merlot, matured in French oak barriques for 19 months. From an unusually warm and extremely dry year, it is rich, round and supple, though perfectly balanced and never overripe. Generally excellent in youth, there is enough complexity textural fibre to ensure solid cellaring potential.
