Based in Napa Valley, Abreu Vineyards is a highly regarded wine producer focused on Cabernet-driven blends. The estate was founded by David Abreu in the 1980s and consists of four single vineyards. Madrona Ranch, Las Posadas, Thorevilo and Capella, where this wine comes from. It is one of the oldest sites in St. Helena, sitting alongside a Catholic cemetery on the west side of town. The 2006 vintage is a layered and complex wine, boasting notes of figs, cassis, tobacco leaves, cedar and hints of vanilla. Simply outstanding.
