Founded in 1879 by a local entrepreneur named James Fleming, Aberlour is a Speyside whisky distillery now owned by Pernod Ricard. This superb 18-year-old single malt is fully finished in hand-picked first-fill Oloroso sherry casks – known for their juicy raisin and liquorice flavours – and combined with Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, adding a dense and syrupy texture.
