Established in 1999 in Ribera del Duero, Aalto Bodegas y Viñedos is a partnership between Javier Zaccagnini and winemaker Mariano García, who worked at the iconic Vega Sicilia for 30 years. This is the 2019 vintage of Aalto’s flagship red wine, presented here in a 5-litre bottle. Made with 100% Tempranillo from old vines, the wine was aged for 18 months in French and American oak barrels before being bottled at 15% ABV. Aalto 2019 is a robust but elegant release, offering plenty of red fruit notes, complemented by a gentle spiciness.
