By the end of the 19th century, under the management of William’s son, Thomas, and businessman James Fleming, Dailuaine had become one of the largest distilleries in the Highlands.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c!-- split --\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eDailuaine is highly respected by blenders for the quality of its spirit, which is notably rich and smoky (despite being unpeated). The majority of single malt produced at Dailuaine is used for blending in Johnnie Walker. Only around 2% is bottled separately – several by independent bottlers (principally Gordon \u0026amp; MacPhail) along with a smattering of noteworthy official releases.
