This tiny (1.7ha) but noteworthy Premier Cru is located between the villages of Chambolle-Musigny and Vougeot and, in the right hands, is capable of producing memorable Pinot Noirs. In recent years, Robert Groffier has emerged as a producer of fine-tuned wines from this terroir. Other producers with plots in this vineyard are Nicolas Potel, Joseph Drouhin and the ‘boutique’ negociant Lucien Le Moine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c!-- split --\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe terroir of Les Hauts Doix is strikingly similar to that of Les Amoureuses, with the same pebble-strewn clay-limestone soils. Where Les Hauts Doix differs, however, is in its aspect: roughly north-easterly compared with Les Amoreuses’ south-easterly.
