We are a ground breaking, award-winning independent fine wine & rare spirit retailer based in Central London.

We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic & hard working assistant to help at our fine wine & rare spirit warehouse in Barking East London. You should have an interest in working with wine & spirits, an eye for detail & a willingness to learn about wine shipping & logistics.

This is a perfect job for anyone looking to enter the wine business with an interest in the retail, logistics, storage & movement of fine wine & rare spirit stock. You will be assisting with the reconciliation of deliveries & orders as well as merchandising & photography of goods. This is a hands-on role covering all in bound & out bound stock movement on a daily basis Monday to Friday. A good understanding of wines & spirits in terms of producers & vintages would also be an advantage. You must be self-starting, disciplined & above all trust worthy. The role could be full or part time dependent upon your commitments or studies.

There is also the option of paid overtime during evenings & weekends helping at our fantastic shop, Hedonism Wines in Mayfair where you will have a perfect opportunity to meet wine producers & taste wines as you continue your wine education.

We have a great track record of internal promotion & education & will sponsor all WSET & other relevant training courses.

Daily Duties:

• Picking and labelling the stock, ready for same day dispatch

• Vehicle loading and unloading (by hand & forklift)

• Liaison with Shop stock room, inbound and other internal departments, to ensure all queries/customer enquiries are resolved within service levels • Ensuring service standards are maintained, work processes are followed & are continually monitored to be improved

• Accurate checking & receipting of all inbound stock

• Dealing with web orders & customer liaison Skills & Experience:

• Excellent attention to detail & accuracy

• Exceptional team work ethos

• Good spoken & written English essential

• Ability to work unsupervised essential

• Articulated Fork Lift License an advantage

• Computer literate (Excel & Outlook)
