The 2020 Ornellaia, crafted from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 13% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Petit Verdot, underwent 18 months of ageing in barriques followed by an additional 12 months in the bottle before release. Its aromatic profile is distinguished by ripe red fruits, accompanied by subtle hints of vanilla and gentle tobacco. On the palate, the wine unfolds as rounded and velvety, leaving an enticing initial impression. The tannins are dense yet elegant, leading to a satisfying, slightly savoury finish.
